The most toxic habit that people are struggling with in this day and age is doom scrolling on the phone, especially right before sleeping. This is not only bad for your eyes but also unhygienic for your sleep health The first step to creating a relaxing sleep environment is by logging off of all electronic equipment be it your phone or laptop. You should ideally do this at least one hour before your sleep and even better if you do it 2 hours early. Sleep on time. This will help your body adjust to the timing and your brain will also know that it is time to sleep. This is how you train your body clock to sleep and wake up on time. Having a bedtime routine will help your body relax and unwind. It can be meditation, skin care, a warm shower, listening to mellow music, listening to white noise or brown noise. When you are asleep your body looses water overnight. If you do not hydrate adequately, you may not get good sleep and may even feel tired when you wake up.
