Extra Nap Or Extra Bedtime

For babies 6 months and under, we usually recommend the Ultra-Short Cat Nap (10–15 minutes) + a slightly later bedtime (no later than 8 pm). This quick reset helps prevent over-tiredness and keeps bedtime smooth. For older babies, an earlier bedtime (6:15 pm is the absolute earliest we suggest) can work — as long as the last wake window doesn’t go past 3 hours. If it will, opt for the cat nap and push bedtime slightly later. Remember, preventing over-tiredness is a key ingredient in maintaining your baby’s nighttime sleep. Do you squeeze in an extra nap? Or do you go with an early bedtime?
