Getting a good night’s sleep is something that we all wish to have after a hectic day at work. But more often than not, this doesn’t happen and we wake up tired, within a few hours. While health experts say that an adult should sleep for 7-9 hours every day, a recent study has found that for more than 60 per cent of Indians, it is less than six hours participants, 61 per cent got less than six hours of uninterrupted sleep at night and 38 per cent got only four to six hours of continuous sleep, and 23 per cent said they slept up to 4 hours. Going to bed late or having to wake up for household activities early morning was the reason for 43 per cent of the respondents not getting six hours of uninterrupted sleep. Children or partner-related interruptions along with mobile calls and messages also featured among the reasons why people couldn’t get uninterrupted sleep.
